Connecticut Apple Marketing Order
The Connecticut Apple Marketing Order was formed through legislation as a self imposed assessment on all Connecticut apple producers to "establish orderly, efficient and equitable marketing of apples through promotional efforts designed to increase the demand for Connecticut apples."
Connecticut Apple Marketing Board
Consisting of 8 Connecticut apple producers representing both large and small acreage "the board shall take as it's most important priorty to advertise and promote the sale of Connecticut apples in Connecticut markets. In pursuing this task, the advisory board may carry out such advertising, promotion and publicity programs as they believe will maintain or enhance present markets or create new markets for Connecticut apples and apple products."
